Back in September, I presented at Ignite Baltimore about how craft can help boost our economy. Now that the video is available, I get to share it with all of you. Enjoy!
PS. I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!

fantastic presentation. I watched it with my 1 year old sitting on my knee and we both laughed at the slide with the mum and baby. How true!

Great video! I hope the powers that be in Baltimore were listening. I especially like the microlending idea – so true that many of us would love a few thousand dollars to work with. Thanks!

Nicely done! It can’t be easy to cram so much good information into a five-minute speech. Good stuff.

After looking at a few of the blog posts on your site, I truly like your way of wrnitig a blog. I added it to my bookmark site list and will be checking back soon. Take a look at my website too and tell me what you think.

I like your mention of micro-lending, it can mean so much for the small creative business owner. I also liked the idea of using vacant spaces and sharing with other entrepreneurs so one can share knowledge. About micro-lending, it strikes me that there is a lot of this going on for second or third world countries but not as much, I think, for local businesses. Wouldn’t it be great to have a micro lending website like Kiva but for creatives/makers?

Thank you Megan for bringing more awareness and attention to the craft business and asking excellent questions; especially to business leaders and funders.
One thing I would suggest is to keep your intonation or pitch consistent, sometimes I found it hard to focus on what you were saying because the pitch of your voice would change. When you stated the facts of craft business/manufacturers your voice wasn’t distracting.
